Washington State Deaf Senior Citizens, a non-profit organization, EIN #47-2326909, was formed to improve the lives of our Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Hard of Hearing and late-deafened seniors. We serve as an advocate for Deaf seniors by providing informational and educational programs designed to enhance their physical, economic and social well-being, and promote their common interests.
We are hosting the Deaf Seniors of America’s 15th Biennial Conference in downtown Seattle on September 2-8, 2019. We expect 1,600 seniors to participate in workshops related to their issues and concerns, including round-table discussions, exhibits, art exhibit by Deaf artists, Open Welcome Ceremony plus closing with a Gala evening entertainment with Deaf performers. We will also provide pre-and post-conference tours of Seattle that will include interpreters skilled in America Sign Language, our native language.
